Liked: This hotel is in a prime location with quick walkable access to the waterfront, French quarter, and market street, and longer but still very walkable to King street/shopping/college of Charleston campus. I loved having a full kitchenette and two bathrooms-it felt more like a little apartment than a hotel, which was great! The staff was really friendly and stored our bags until we were able to check in. There was water available at all times at a lobby fill station. There is access to a shared courtyard as well.
Disliked: The morning coffee offering was simple and no breakfast offered-this was fine with me, though, as there were so many walkable options nearby that I wanted to try. If you have mobility limitations (stairs) you may want to call ahead to ask about your room setup. I personally loved our setup with the bed and primary bath upstairs within the room, but this would have been challenging if we couldn’t perform stairs. If you sleep lightly, I also recommend a white noise machine to drown out sounds that come with an apartment style room.

Liked: The staff was amazing, especially Ingrid!
Disliked: Nobody cleaned out our refrigerator so the last person’s food was still in there.

Liked: The location across the street from The Market was ideally located for sightseeing. The staff was attentive and very helpful.
Disliked: Although we knew the apartment was two-stories, we weren’t prepared for the very steep stairs. I wouldn’t recommend it for travelers who have mobility or cardiac issues.

Wonderful weekend

Liked: We loved how the hotel felt warm and comfortable like staying in someone’s home. It was close to everything and easy to get everywhere we wanted to go.
Disliked: It was a little pricey but I think that was more about location.

Disappointing

Disliked: Beautiful, old building but with limited remodeling. Staff at the front desk were not the most helpful. I booked through booking and got charged to my credit card at the hotel. They held a deposit twice without even mentioning they were charging this. When I asked for a receipt, they told me I had to request it through booking.com even though I paid the hotel directly.
