Disappointed

Liked: The pub we visited for a meal
Disliked: The bathroom was unclean. We were told when we arrived the owner had forgotten we were coming and had given our room to someone else. The room we had was not what I paid for or had all the things specified. I was told they would not provide breakfast even though that was the reason I chose it because it did gluten free food. We were stuck in a room at the top of the hotel when on the website it was clear other rooms were available. Really poor.

Perfect for a short break...

Liked: Location and comfortable bed. Clean well kept rooms, friendly and excellent hosts. super breakfast. Nice touches like chocolate biscuits with tea/coffee in room and fresh milk avilable on the landing. Lovely old period house and garden with nice views from windows.
Disliked: Only one thing; the ensuite bathroom in our room was fine with plenty of towels, hot water and soap etc but had a plastic shower curtain instead of a door. We realised that space may have been the issue but these curtains always get sucked in and stick to your legs when you shower.

Liked: Room was excellent - great view of the church in the village. Nice touches to the room; very nice sheets and pillows, fresh milk, high quality coffee, M&S toiletries....

We booked for 2 nights...

Liked: Location was close to my sisters which was what we wanted.
Disliked: The cleaning was poor. The bed dipped in the middle. The milk was off and not replaced. Breakfast was no longer being offered. All signs to locate the property had been moved so was difficult to find

Liked: Historical Farm house very successfully converted to family small hotel. Very friendly Host, excellent communication. Peace and quiet green place every one must see it.

Liked: Beautiful house in a beautiful location.
Disliked: Just a little disappointed we were unable to enjoy the breakfast that we had read all the great reviews about. The owner told us breakfast was not available as they were closing the business, which was a shame. This had been reflected in the price we paid but we didn’t know this when making the booking.
