Superb
Liked: Beautiful surroundings and gorgeous castle. Friendly and helpful staff.
Disliked: Most breakfast options that we wanted (grilled tomato and mushrooms) were on the buffet, along with one of the manual toasters that don't toast very well. But everything tasted fine, and the Welsh butter was delicious.

Superb
Liked: The suite was beautiful, the whole place is gorgeous and well kept. The grounds are wonderful to walk around. Couldn't fault it
Disliked: The breakfast staff seemed very hectic, the breakfast and everything expected but was presented without the style to match the rest of the experience

Stunning building
Liked: Stunning building with lots of character. Our room was adequate, enough drawers and wardrobe with an ironing board/iron provided, had tea/coffee, biscuits refreshed daily, had a sea and garden view, with a smashing turret bathroom /wet room. Staff were friendly. The building style is what encourages you to visit and the views from the windows across the Straits are amazing.
Disliked: Small car park at front with limited parking (around 10 spaces) with a steep extra car park at back, anyone with mobility issues would really struggle with lots of steps and uneven surfaces. .Restaurant had a very limited menu choice and was expensive @£70 pp, due to menu choices we only had 2 courses, lack of staff to get attention in the bar area. Although one young staff member was very friendly, there appeared to be a general lack of staff. Breakfast was disappointing and in fact on our last day there was no milk, butter or yoghurts, cutlery was missing and no bowls to start with, we ended up with just a dry croissant for breakfast and a slice of toast! Finally some butter was brought out on a plate sliced up which another resident took to their table! We waited over half an hour to order tea or coffee! Not acceptable for a 4* hotel, We stayed four nights and everyday I asked for a plain yoghurt (they didn’t have it) given the cost you’d expect more, you’d get more choice at a premier travel inn.

luxury with views
Liked: We arrived late after a 4 hour traffic jam ( Conwy tunnel fire) and the hotel looked after us extremely well. Late Dinner was wonderful as were all the staff.
Disliked: nothing
