Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Brian, Rives Junction, visiting Reggie's Rock Club

I decided I would rather drive back home the same night than stay in this hotel overnight. It was just dirty/musty and stuffy. Would NEVER stay here again.

Liked: Nothing positive. Although I paid for the room I did NOT stay the night.
Disliked: Very dirty/musty room. A/C would not get the stuffiness out of the room, which also was very small/cramped. Staff, although friendly enough, was not helpful and hardly speak english (we live in United States!).

Superb

Liked: Staff is always friendly. The hotel is located in a good spot within walking distance of everything in Chinatown. Nice guest lounge with fridge. Snacks and beverages at front desk.
Disliked: Wish there was a microwave and mini fridge in each room. But there's a big fridge and microwave in lounge. Wish there was also more room to park by curb when bringing in my luggage but thankful for the public parking lot that's about a block away. No elevator.

Exceptional

Liked: The location is great, the young lady at the desk was very friendly. Everything was clean. The shower pressure and heat was great.
Disliked: It is a 3 star hotel, and lived up to 3 stars. It was clean but very outdated and a bit rundown. But for the money it's exactly what we expected and the location makes up for it. If you're going to be out and about enjoying chinatown then all you will be doing is sleeping there.

Exceptional

Liked: This is my second time at the Chinatown Hotel Chicago, and I love the location, the cleanliness, and the friendliness of the staff. The room was clean and quiet, even though the hotel was a half block from a busy Chinatown Summer Fair. The receptionist offered to let me leave my carry-on luggage at the front desk, so I could enjoy the city before my flight. Excellent service!
Disliked: Nothing, everything was excellent.
