Brian, Rives Junction, visiting Reggie's Rock Club

I decided I would rather drive back home the same night than stay in this hotel overnight. It was just dirty/musty and stuffy. Would NEVER stay here again.

Liked: Nothing positive. Although I paid for the room I did NOT stay the night.
Disliked: Very dirty/musty room. A/C would not get the stuffiness out of the room, which also was very small/cramped. Staff, although friendly enough, was not helpful and hardly speak english (we live in United States!).

Sometimes the price is too...

Liked: The location and the friendliness of the staff are the only thing good about my stay here.
Disliked: When I entered the stairwell to go to my room, the stairs were covered in some brown sticky fluid. When I entered my room, there was trash on the floor. When I woke up the next day, I had some strange bites on my body. There was mold in the shower. The shower floor was gross. Overall, it was in need of some work.

Disliked: The stairs and hallways are very dirty like it hasn’t been clean for a year. The room is also very dirty and small. Doesn’t look like the pictures shown on the app.

Bad

Disliked: they make you sign a waiver saying anything lost or stolen on property is not their problem and when i entered my room i noticed the security lock had literally been busted out of the wall so i promptly went downstairs and handed the desk agent the key and said im not staying here. the place has a horrible atmosphere and felt like a drug den

Meh.

Liked: It was clean and it's nice that it's in Chinatown.
Disliked: It was extremely outdated and way overpriced because of its location. There's no elevator, so you have to walk all the way up if you're on the top floor. It was not good for me, because I have a bad back, hip, and knee. There are very few to no amenities for the high price of the stay. So you're paying too much solely for the location. The staff is not very friendly and my boyfriend still hasn't received the deposit back and it's been almost a month since our stay. Very disappointing.

Great if you're just looking...

Liked: It was close to where I needed to be (McCormick Place) and to the rail, plus enough food and coffee places. Decent price (relatively speaking), felt safe, shower/toilet worked, bed was comfy. Had enough space for stretching and light exercising in the morning.
Disliked: I did notice a stain on the bedsheet, but it was near the side and not much of an issue. I also assume I could've gone to the front desk to ask for one if needed, but it would've been good to have a spare roll of toilet paper on hand in the room.
