Friendly, helpful staff in a...

Liked: We travelled with our daughter and others (total 8) for one night. The building itself is wonderful, full of character. The staff were absolutely brilliant, really friendly and helpful. The room was spotless clean and the bed was so comfortable. We all (8 of us) had an early start on the morning of departure and the staff arranged for us to take breakfast sandwiches with us, despite it being before breakfast was served. Would definitely stay again and many thanks to the staff for their hospitality.
Disliked: The only thing I would say is that the hallways and toilets in the bar are in need of a freshen up, but this would not put me off from staying again. Our room was spotless clean. Would definitely stay again.

Liked: The bed was amazingly comfortable. and despite the room being above a busy working pub, there was no noise at all.the staff were so polite and helpful and the shower in the bathroom was brilliant for old fogies like us.
Disliked: One slight problem was the lack of or at least siting of electric sockets as we had a funeral to attend and my wife struggled a bit to do her hair and put on her makeup on, BUT having said that, the building is a few hundred years old (even has a ghost haha).We have stayed in many hotels over the years but this one lists as one of the most welcoming, comfortable ones and we will definately stay here again. A big thank you to all the staff.

Enjoyable few nights in Childwall...

Liked: Great location, friendly staff. Clean rooms and bathroom.
Disliked: Not the most comfortable mattress but sufficient for short stay.
