Why Concert-goers love it

Music fans appreciate the hotel’s proximity to McCormick Place and easy access to the Museum Campus and downtown venues. The location is ideal for catching a show and being back in your room within minutes. The hotel is tucked away from the busiest areas, meaning quieter nights for post-concert recovery. Plus, a 24-hour business center and early check-in (from 2 PM) make planning your stay a breeze.

Julia, Dayton, visiting Radius Chicago Tue, 8 March 2022

You get what you pay for and this hotel was much less expensive than many others in downtown Chicago and had a parking lot with parking included. But the room had old nasty carpet and the walls were dinged up and peeling in places. The hairdryer nor exhaust fan nor vending machine worked. The room had a weird stale odor. Customer service was really good though. It wasn't terribly inconvenient to downtown and bed and pillows were comfortable!

Liked: Customer Service. Comfortable beds.
Disliked: Outdated. Room had an odor.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Chicago South Loop. This was my 3rd time staying there and I will stay there again. I even passed up staying at our host hotel.

Liked: Free parking; location; clean and friendly staff.
Disliked: Not enough parking - if you come back late you have to park on the street.

Great place to stay; very convenient location. If you're not interested in staying in the heart of the city, but want to be in a convenient location, this is a great option at a great price.

Liked: Convenient to highway; great parking; large, clean room; beds were comfortable.
Disliked: TV was satellite and since it stormed our entire stay, interrupted TV service.

Liked: The location was great and they had free parking.
Disliked: The elevators, TV, and ice machines did not work. We also got locked out of our room at midnight because our door was broken which is a major safety concern. There was also a moldy, mildew smell. People were also smoking weed and the hallways smelled of marijuana.

Liked: I did not like anything about this property when we checked in we were in firm. The elevator wasn’t working. We had to carry luggage up five flights of stairs with minimal lighting very little air conditioning and we had a baby with us in a car seat that we had to look up fire flights and stairs we ended up at our event and we came back and checked out and stayed with another family member in Chicago. We decided this was not a safe place for us to stay the night. I am asking for the return of my money because we did not stay the night in the facility was awful.
Disliked: The property had no elevator service. We had to walk up five flights of stairs with a baby with minimal air conditioner. Minimal lading would I suggest his property again no, I would not. I am requesting for my money to be returned to me.

Wouldn't stay again, the place...

Liked: AC worked and the beds were comfortable. Access to downtown Chicago was good, and check-in was easy. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The one working elevator was not functioning properly and broke several times during my stay, including trapping another person inside it. This was not ideal as myself and colleagues had to cart a lot of bags and equipment cases up to the high floors. None of the vending machines stocked water or appeared to even work. Several floors smelled bad. Lack of luggage trolleys. Breakfast was not appealing so we didn't eat there.

Waste of money to stay...

Liked: The African American staff in Cafe were rude, disrespectful and angry when see people coming to cafeteria for breakfast. They were untrained and just filling the blank type of people. Our bathroom flush was not working. Called the receptionist many times but no answer. Had to go down to get a different room. The Filipino lady in the morning shift at the reception was another unprofessional person who didn’t know how to talk to the customer. I have lived in many hotels in the US, but this one was the worse of all.
