You get what you pay for and this hotel was much less expensive than many others in downtown Chicago and had a parking lot with parking included. But the room had old nasty carpet and the walls were dinged up and peeling in places. The hairdryer nor exhaust fan nor vending machine worked. The room had a weird stale odor. Customer service was really good though. It wasn't terribly inconvenient to downtown and bed and pillows were comfortable!
Liked: Customer Service. Comfortable beds.
Disliked: Outdated. Room had an odor.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Chicago South Loop. This was my 3rd time staying there and I will stay there again. I even passed up staying at our host hotel.
Liked: Free parking; location; clean and friendly staff.
Disliked: Not enough parking - if you come back late you have to park on the street.

Great place to stay; very convenient location. If you're not interested in staying in the heart of the city, but want to be in a convenient location, this is a great option at a great price.
Liked: Convenient to highway; great parking; large, clean room; beds were comfortable.
Disliked: TV was satellite and since it stormed our entire stay, interrupted TV service.

Hotel not worth going
Liked: The structure, the free parking
Disliked: Low sink water pressure, elevators don't work, ice machine on my floor don't work, internet going in & out. Tv's barely work, kitchen staff rude . One elevator was out and the 2nd elevators barely worked the weekend where folks used the stairs. My wife can't go up & down stairs so we had to wait fir them to fix it every time

Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful
Disliked: Breakfast was very simple with not many healthy options apart from fruit that had run out before I got there. I also had issues with my keycard - having to get it fixed multiple times to unlock the door.

Liked: The location is good. It's near several bus stops and is an easy enough walk to the Chinatown Red Line stop.
Disliked: Bathroom supplies were missing upon check-in.Breakfast was served, but disappointing.Elevator was out of order but had no signage stating that. No microwaves in the rooms, only in the business center.

Disliked: My room key stopped working 20 min after check in and then again 4 hours after it was re programmed. Our room didn’t have a posted room number outside. The staff wouldn’t give me a light bulb for lamp that didn’t have one. The elevators stopped working and we had to take the stairs. The towels in the bathroom had stains.
