With free parking and free WiFi, it’s a convenient and budget-friendly base for your concert weekend.

Why Concert-goers love it

Music fans appreciate the hotel’s proximity to McCormick Place and easy access to the Museum Campus and downtown venues. The location is ideal for catching a show and being back in your room within minutes. The hotel is tucked away from the busiest areas, meaning quieter nights for post-concert recovery. Plus, a 24-hour business center and early check-in (from 2 PM) make planning your stay a breeze.

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel doesn’t offer a full-service restaurant, there are plenty of walkable dining spots nearby in Chinatown and the South Loop. Breakfast spots are also close by for a lazy morning after the show.

Nightlife Options

The South Loop area has a growing scene of bars and lounges, and you’re just a quick ride from Chicago’s best music clubs and rooftop bars. Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the surrounding area can feel a bit quiet or industrial, especially late at night. There’s also no on-site restaurant or bar, which might be a downside if you’re looking to hang out after the show without heading back out.

Julia, Dayton, visiting Radius Chicago Tue, 8 March 2022

You get what you pay for and this hotel was much less expensive than many others in downtown Chicago and had a parking lot with parking included. But the room had old nasty carpet and the walls were dinged up and peeling in places. The hairdryer nor exhaust fan nor vending machine worked. The room had a weird stale odor. Customer service was really good though. It wasn't terribly inconvenient to downtown and bed and pillows were comfortable!

Liked: Customer Service. Comfortable beds.
Disliked: Outdated. Room had an odor.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Chicago South Loop. This was my 3rd time staying there and I will stay there again. I even passed up staying at our host hotel.

Liked: Free parking; location; clean and friendly staff.
Disliked: Not enough parking - if you come back late you have to park on the street.

Great place to stay; very convenient location. If you're not interested in staying in the heart of the city, but want to be in a convenient location, this is a great option at a great price.

Liked: Convenient to highway; great parking; large, clean room; beds were comfortable.
Disliked: TV was satellite and since it stormed our entire stay, interrupted TV service.

You get what you pay...

Liked: Close to the interstate and the lake. Also, it was quite cheap for the location. Free parking. ATM in the lobby. Big TV and sufficient internet in the room.
Disliked: No safe for valuables in the room. The whole hotel (and the area around it) smelled like weed. Some of the people in the hotel seemed to live there. The carpet was horribly dirty and the towels were frayed.

Liked: Staff were friendly and it was an affordable place to stay.
Disliked: The look of the hotel and rooms looked nothing like images. Our room had multiple random stains on the carpet, it looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed or swept before we checked in, and the fire alarm on our wall seemed to be taken off. There was a pungent cigarette smell throughout the hallways and overall had an extremely outdated look. Also, the elevators were broken all the time. It definitely made us feel uncomfortable.

Liked: Property was decent
Disliked: That the shower head popped off and almost hit my eye. There was no shampoo in the shower. I was told breakfast was at 6am and started breakfast at 6:30am.

Liked: i liked how it had a lot of rooms and was really easy to check in and to check out.
Disliked: the room was clean, but the door didn't lock, all it took was to give it a good push and it would open, the wifi would be very spotty and the door was hard to open. The bathroom didn't have a vent so when you showered the air was still in there. Also, the elevators wouldn't work, only 1 worked 2 if we were lucky. For the price that we paid, I would've loved a better room.

Liked: I liked the location of the hotel. But I did a lot of research to make sure it was near where I wanted to be.
Disliked: It was not clean. It was not secure. They tried to say that check-in was at 4pm instead of 2pm like in the email I received. The hotel was supposed to be locked after 8pm and was not. I think the last time it was vacuumed was when it was built. The elevator was broken, there was no WiFi. The pillow cases were like sand paper. The bed was also very uncomfortable. The bath tub was gross and the water pressure was next to nothing.

Basic hotel with dirty rooms.

Liked: Good location near convention centre
Disliked: The hotel was non smoking and the room next to me was smoking weed constantly - I couldn’t sleep for the smell. The rooms aren’t cleaned during your stay - I was there Monday to Thursday. The breakfast was basic and the man serving was the rudest person I’ve ever met. Rooms were basic. Bathroom was very dirty. Would not stay there again. Also seemed to be full of people who were there on some sort or programme - not the type of place you want to stay on your own whilst travelling for work.
