Liked: This is really a great leisure hotel. Cindy?s restaurant and exterior roof deck overlooking Millennium Park up top, the Round Cherry Room has one of the best breakfasts in town ( we were shocked what interesting cuisine they had) and several other bars/lounges/game rooms. Our new Chicago favorite. Been here three times in the last six months.
Disliked: My only beef is the room was a little too warm. But I like it brisk.

Liked: Very nice staff. Prompt room service with varied menu. My daughter loved that the Shake Shack in the lobby also delivered to the room. Loads of choices in the minibar, although I didn't use it. Loved the location, very close to the Art Institute and some major shopping. Plenty of cabs and good valet service. Happy to hold our bags on the last day while we looked around town.
Disliked: Odor in the room, as if someone had smoked there and it hadn't been well cleaned. There was a small "ozone" generator in the room, probably trying to clear the smell. Also, the tub wasn't clean. The hot water pressure in the shower was almost zero (I was on the 15th floor). Nice toiletries, but masculine smell and gritty hand soap. No coffee in room. Also, to access elevators to rooms, we had to negotiate the "game room," which was packed. Definitely more an environment for young people, not families or older guests.

Awesome, hip get-a-way.
Liked: Super cool vibes. Great smelling soaps.
Disliked: Called to ask for some ice to be sent to our room and it never arrived.

Very hip, original, historic hotel...
Liked: Very fun hotel, a vacation in itself. The restaurants are excellent, (pricey, yes) a very fun game room, and attentive staff. Missing some slippers to go with the very cool bathrobe, as the floors are cold in winter (wood floors). We were upgraded to a king room with views of the park and the Bean as it was my husband's birthday. Excellent location too. Over all we enjoyed our stay very much.
