Can't wait to be back!

Liked: I travel quite a bit for work and in the past decade I have been staying in around 100 hotels. Chicago Athletic Association has been among the best, if not the best, of the city hotels I have stayed in. The position is among the best in Chicago, and is also convenient. The place is stunning, a mix of history and modernity. There is an awesome game room, three bars, and a restaurant. The service is impeccable. You can stay in the hotel and get to know new people just by going downstairs. You can go up the 13th floor and enjoy a fantastic view on the city. Or just stay in your room and enjoy the amenities. Great comfort.
Disliked: The hotel is expensive, though no more than other 4 stars in the area, but definitely not cheap. The restaurant matches the hotel. There are several city taxes that really don't help. Importantly, however, it is worth its price.

Love the history of the...

Liked: Location was great. Bars and restaurants on premise were excellent. Loved The Circle Room!!! Service was great there - everyone was friendly and really helpful.
Disliked: I should have called and asked for a room that was a little larger and had a little better view. My view was kind of awful. I stayed in room 605. I'm not upset about it but it made my time there much less enjoyable. I just kept the curtains closed when I was in the room. The lighting wasn't great so it was a bit depressing. I tried to not stay in the room much.

Nice place to visit to...

Liked: Food at all times was very good, room was comfortable game room and bar were great.
Disliked: Shower was awkward in that the controls were too far from the shower, the elevator took forever and later found out 1 was not working. It would have been better to post a sign to relieve the frustration. The TV was ok, but the guide was difficult to maneuver. Outside of the gunshots outside my room I slept ok.
