Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa, Leeds

It is a beautiful log...

Liked: The interior of the hotel is fantastic, like a giant log cabin, the room was clean and spacious. The outdoor areas for guests are superb as well as the outdoor hot tub. We had a great time.

Loved it

Could of been better but...

Liked: Location is fine but the best thing apart from the wedding we attended was a Chinese we found about 10 minutes drive away, staff were really polite as well
Disliked: The beds seemed very hit and miss and the lodge did not fulfil the expectation or the price difference between that and an executive room that our friends had paid for

Exceptional

Ruined 10 yr Wedding Anniversary...

Liked: Local to home and the woodland
Disliked: Wooden structures were literally rotting. Over priced for what was essentially Butlin’s chalets. Food was very mediocre to bad and the spa, along with the huts, are in desperate need of modernising. Absolutely not worth the money paid.Staff were friendly and helpful enough but our complaints seemed like they’d been heard before.

Disliked: not that clean and smelt a bit funny when we walked in, everything seemed old, no signal, and tv couldn’t work with a fire stick because no wifi

Despite these complaints I enjoyed the trip - the hotel has so much potential

Liked: The location is very pretty and the main building is good. The outdoor jacuzzi was lovely. The staff are friendly especially in the spa.
Disliked: The bedroom was much smaller than I expected - especially for the price and the neighbours noisy. The breakfast lacked the variety I expected. The coffee was cold. The gym was average. There were not enough staff. No one at reception when I and frequently guests were waiting for someone to man the bar - probably more of a problem when there is a large function running in another area.
