A lovely, comfortable and welcoming...
Liked: The room was fantastic, the bathroom was a lovely size, we could see the animals from our window, the twin beds were comfy as were the bunk beds which my twin sis enjoyed sleeping in when we got there cos she was tired from the drive down and she found comfort in enclosed space which makes her sound like a cat, haha.We needed the peace and quiet for sure, the housekeeping staff were lovely too, fresh towels were provided, the beds were made nicely, the room was clean. We enjoyed the little chocs and those of you who prefer hot chocolate over tea or coffee, the housekeeping staff leave a couple of sachets, depending on how many people are occupying the room. This was so ideal for us. Also, having a fridge was super handy too.The staff on reception were lovely, sadly, I didn't take any of the names, also at breakfast on Monday 14th July, the front of house host in the restaurant (Zafari Bar and Grill) was a superb multitasker, and it was a busy time. She ordered our vegan sausages and delivered them to our table whilst sorting out bookings and finding guests a table.Wednesday 16th July, another lady was on duty for front of house at the same restaurant for brekkie, and she asked us if we'd like vegan sausages, she was very good at allocating tables, building rapport with the guests, but we were happy to go without the vegan sausages, just incase. BTW, the vegan sausages are lovely to those wondering. Please only put staff on front of house in the restaurant who are well organised, have a good memory and can multitask. I say that with kindness because it didn't put the restaurant/staff in the best light.I'd advise people to book their breakfast, via the app or reception, if you don't, you'll be told to go to the other restaurant instead.I'm a bubbly type of person, my twin isn't quite awake until around 12pm, haha.
Disliked: Tuesday 15th July was a little quieter, however the front of house host (gent) was really slow on his memory and couldn't multitask. He was giving our table to someone else, when he had just given us the table one minute ago. He hadn't ordered our vegan sausages, then made out that he did, but another member of staff went to check and had to order them, by then it was too late, 40 minutes on we had finished our breakfast. It would be ideal if parents could stop their kids from stampeding up and down the corridor and randomly knocking on the room doors, esp when people are trying to chill. There should be a sign in each room to warn parents that this behaviour won't be tolerated. There are enough animals to stampede around the place without human children doing the same. I would have rated the stay a 9 or 10, but these two factors confirmed the score.
