It was perfect for our...

Liked: Phil who looked after us was excellent and so helpful and attentive and a mine of information, not to mention a really nice guy.
Disliked: The TV was small and reception not great but we get the fact that the nature and ambience of the rooms is such that a 55 inch screen on the wall would detract rather than add - not an issues that would lead us to not coming back

I have tried it as...

Liked: Old world charm Comfy bed. One older gent was very nice and shows good customer service I think he’s in F&B very welcoming
Disliked: The toilet leaked and no compensation even offered for the inconvenience. Tv was too small. Receptionist was cold, need a lesson from the old guy

Ok but not great.

Liked: It was a beautiful property. Quite tired on the inside though. The bedroom was very large with a really comfortable bed. And the bathroom was also very large with a lively clawed foot bath.
Disliked: When we arrived (2pm) we were hungry. We were told we could only really have scones and cream so we went to the vineyard next door and had a fabulous lunch. We were asked about an evening meal when we checked in. We said we’d like dinner in the restaurant. We went to our room and Phil (manager I assume) brought us an electric heater as we couldn’t get the heat g to work in our room. I asked what time we should come for dinner and sounded surprised and said that the chef was leaving. He managed to stop him and we had a very basic meal in our room. Not what we’d wanted at all. The hotel has such huge potential, but the decor needs updating and other issues need ironing out

Liked: Lovely place, very fancy. Felt like a princess for a night. Bed was extremely comfortable. Shower was opulent including toiletries and breakfast was awesome.
Disliked: Nothing. It was all fantastic.

Disliked: The individual chairs in the rooms are in need of new padding and a bit of tightning up as the legs are loose.

Beautiful location but customer service...

Liked: The suite and the location were awesome.
Disliked: Had to wait too long for the high tea food.I think the kitchen forgot the order and then there was a hair on one of the cakes.
