Hungry after the show? The hotel’s dining options have you covered. La Ronde, the revolving rooftop restaurant, delivers fine dining with sweeping city views, perfect for a pre-show dinner. Bellamy's Lounge on the main level offers a more casual bite and drinks. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the in-room coffee machine is a great bonus for a morning pick-me-up. Plus, downtown Edmonton is full of walkable late-night eats just steps away.

Nightlife Options

Start your evening with craft cocktails at Bellamy’s Lounge, then head out to explore Edmonton’s nightlife. The hotel’s location makes it easy to walk to nearby bars, clubs, and music lounges. Whether you're looking for a low-key pint or a post-show dance floor, it’s all close by.

What People Say

Guests love the central location, noting how easy it is to get to shows and explore the city on foot. The views from La Ronde are frequently praised, as is the friendly staff and clean, well-maintained rooms. Many reviewers highlight the hotel’s classic charm and convenience.

Areas for Improvement

Some travelers mention the hotel has a slightly dated feel in common areas, though many find that it adds to the character. Parking is available but not included in the rate, so budget accordingly if you're driving.

The Bottom Line

The Chateau Lacombe Hotel is a classic downtown stay with unbeatable access to Edmonton's top concert venues and a relaxing vibe to come back to after the final encore.

Darren, Red Deer, visiting Starlite Room

This is the first time we have stayed in downtown Edmonton. We chose this hotel because it was close to the Starlite. The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly. The only complaint we had was the parking. Would stay there again if we were going to another show at the Starlite.

Liked: Location; clean; friendly staff.
Disliked: Pay for parking; no continental breakfast.

Passable

Liked: I stayed here for almost 3 weeks. It was good. I really enjoyed the hotel.
Disliked: On my last day, I was exhausted and had a very long night so I told them downstairs I was just going to sleep, they called up and woke me up about two hours later and told me if I did not let them come and clean that I would not be able to continue my stay… I was so tired. I told them that I would just check out the next day. Mind you my room was clean and any other time I let the housekeeping come in my room with spotless.

I mean, it's a spot...

Liked: Location is good, given the location of the event we were there for - a short subway ride to convention center and volleyball championships. Staff is friendly. Good views of the river.
Disliked: Started by offering me to live on the pet floor. I said I would rather wait, but I really want a quiet room. So, 4 hours later, I get a room right next to all the elevators. Not only that, but there's a big gap between the floor and the door, which I didn't see until later, so - all the sounds were in my room, thank you very much. Top it off by a very unsatisfying paid breakfast, and you get the idea. I'll try my best to avoid in favor of something a bit more polished.
