The Chateau Lacombe is just a short walk from major Edmonton concert venues and theaters, meaning you can skip the late-night rideshare surge. The area is walkable, well-lit, and alive with post-show energy. With flexible check-in at 4:00 PM and a generous 12:00 PM checkout, you'll have time to settle in before the show and sleep in the next morning. Rooms are quiet despite the downtown setting, giving you a peaceful place to recharge.

  • Budget-conscious music lovers looking for value and location

Food and Drink Options

Hungry after the show? The hotel’s dining options have you covered. La Ronde, the revolving rooftop restaurant, delivers fine dining with sweeping city views, perfect for a pre-show dinner. Bellamy's Lounge on the main level offers a more casual bite and drinks. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the in-room coffee machine is a great bonus for a morning pick-me-up. Plus, downtown Edmonton is full of walkable late-night eats just steps away.

Nightlife Options

Start your evening with craft cocktails at Bellamy’s Lounge, then head out to explore Edmonton’s nightlife. The hotel’s location makes it easy to walk to nearby bars, clubs, and music lounges. Whether you're looking for a low-key pint or a post-show dance floor, it’s all close by.

What People Say

Guests love the central location, noting how easy it is to get to shows and explore the city on foot. The views from La Ronde are frequently praised, as is the friendly staff and clean, well-maintained rooms. Many reviewers highlight the hotel’s classic charm and convenience.

Areas for Improvement

Some travelers mention the hotel has a slightly dated feel in common areas, though many find that it adds to the character. Parking is available but not included in the rate, so budget accordingly if you're driving.

The Bottom Line

The Chateau Lacombe Hotel is a classic downtown stay with unbeatable access to Edmonton's top concert venues and a relaxing vibe to come back to after the final encore.

Liked: Was right by the Starlite Room - very awesome not having a long walk.
Disliked: A microwave would have been nice.

Darren, Red Deer, visiting Starlite Room

This is the first time we have stayed in downtown Edmonton. We chose this hotel because it was close to the Starlite. The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly. The only complaint we had was the parking. Would stay there again if we were going to another show at the Starlite.

Liked: Location; clean; friendly staff.
Disliked: Pay for parking; no continental breakfast.

Liked: Staff very nice and helpful.
Disliked: Tap in shower was stuck open and had to call for maintence. It stuck in the morning as well but managed to get it shut off.

Good

Liked: I liked that it was only a $50 deposit. I liked that the cat deposit was only $30. I didn't like paying $25 for parking. Plus the room was already somewhat expensive at $160 ish. All the add-ons felt like I was being nickeled and dimed. Hard to find my way out of the maze parkade. It was comfortable and cleanly and I enjoyed my room view and the Bellamy restaurant view, but not much to do, I was bored in my room. I think if the rate was slightly cheaper it would have more guests.

Amazing Getaway for us

Liked: The fact they made the room very romantic for my partners 60th birthday, with swan towels and rose petals on the bed with robes and slippers for us.
Disliked: That we didnt have more time in our room to enjoy it.

Save your money and stay...

Liked: Proximity to downtown
Disliked: Tired, old rooms. The funniest thing was paying $25 for parking for one night only to see a sign outside of the building saying for $95 you can park there the entire month. $25 for a small dog to stay? Come on…do better. Won’t be back.
