Liked: Was right by the Starlite Room - very awesome not having a long walk.
Disliked: A microwave would have been nice.

Darren, Red Deer, visiting Starlite Room Thu, 14 May 2015

This is the first time we have stayed in downtown Edmonton. We chose this hotel because it was close to the Starlite. The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly. The only complaint we had was the parking. Would stay there again if we were going to another show at the Starlite.

Liked: Location; clean; friendly staff.
Disliked: Pay for parking; no continental breakfast.

Liked: Staff very nice and helpful.
Disliked: Tap in shower was stuck open and had to call for maintence. It stuck in the morning as well but managed to get it shut off.

very nice, will definitely stay...

Liked: Love the room, was so pleased the front desk upgraded us so we could enjoy the concierge lounge. That was very kind and an added value. The views and location are amazing. the rooms are small but very nice.
Disliked: sometimes the showers leak out into the bathroom floor. I always like to have fresh cream in the fridge for coffee, the ice machines were not working on all of the floors.

Exceptional!

Liked: The highlight of staying here had to be the fabulous service given by Joyce and Joe.I arrived late at night, having travelled across the country by train and looking a little dishevelled, and the service given to me the following morning by the very attentive and conscientious Joyce and Joe made up for the welcome I'd received the night of arrival. The room was just perfect, and the concierge lounge offered a break from the room when coming back from exploring the city to get jobs done and the wonderful walk in the nearby ravine walks, woodlands and parks. The service from the lounge and restaurant team was also of a high standard, and the food I ate was lovely - although it was hard to believe the half portion of tacos was just for one! Very generous! The facilities were everything I needed, wanted, and more - with a fabulous view of the river. I would highly recommend this hotel due to the exceptional service, attention to detail and high standards throughout.

Book elsewhere

Disliked: The room was filthy, the front desk staff were trying to get us to cancel our booking.com booking and book through the hotel directly upon checking in. It was all so weird. The pipe in our bathroom burst getting all of my clothes wet and the floor completely flooded with sludgy water. I called the front desk and maintenance came (at 10:30pm) and said he couldn’t fix it and we’d need to switch rooms. We wanted to just leave but they said that was not possible and moved us to a new room. They comped our parking fee and provided breakfast, where they “ran out of water” to serve us with, and the buffet was empty every time we went up to make a plate. Checking out was frustrating because the management said they would contact booking.com for a refund but did not, and only took $25 off the booking and told us next time we book there, they would give us a room upgrade. Not necessary, as we won’t be back.
