Liked: Homely

Old fashioned charm

Liked: Nice staff loads of parking, good size room and bed. Nice and clean. Easy walk to the harbour, breakfast pretty good and none of that American hash brown rubbish, which I don't think belongs in a Full English.
Disliked: A bit dated in decor and breakfast tomatoes. I cannot remember when I last saw tinned tomatoes on a breakfast at any hotel I have stayed at, possibly not this century, which admittedly fits the ambience.

Liked: Very clean hotel with a good selection of drinks and great food. Staff were very helpful and polite from check in to check out. Will certainly be back.

Decent stay for a work...

Liked: Conveniently located, big car park. Breakfast omelette was lovely
Disliked: A rather timed hotel. Every section has its own established smell, carpets are worn, neighbours are not what you’d call crème de la crème

Liked: Warm welcome and helpful staff, had asked that there weren't many stairs when booking and was given a ground floor room, comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Good parking. Nice breakfast.
Disliked: everything was fine

We recommend this hotel and...

Liked: Near the town centre and Whitehaven harbour, down a hill ten minutes walk away. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice meeting place for friends and family, small bar and lovely views outside if weather is good. Bright white towels in bathroom, tea and coffee in room. Warm and comfortable mid sized hotel. We will return.
Disliked: Nothing at all and it was very peaceful.
