Beautiful city hotel.
Liked: Beautiful hotel in the centre of town. Lovely decor and great size room for the price. Friendly staff and plentiful continental breakfast, with option to buy a cooked breakfast from neighbouring cafe. Will definitely book again.

Good
Liked: The location and the downstairs of the hotel
Disliked: The superior suite didn't have a full length mirror and only one bedside table. The bed had holes in 2 posts, where something had been removed and nothing replaced. The bed was too high;it wasn't possible to sit on the edge of it leaving one chair. There was only one kind of teabag.Only having a continental breakfast presumes much more variety of offers eg non dairy yoghurts, milk, dried fruit, granola etc basic offer with again limited tea choice

Great place when it’s not...
Liked: Lovely spacious rooms. Great location for a concert at the castle!
Disliked: Lack of AC in hot weather. Late evening fire alarm and had to wait for someone to check the loft in our room.

Excellent
Liked: Beautiful room, beautiful grounds, lovely staff and the shower was incredible!
Disliked: I wish there was air-con. The heat was unbearable BUT even with that I asked if I could borrow a fan and they gave me the one from the main staff desk immediately. Laura and Rob the night porter were lovely.

Wonderful 2 night stay with...
Liked: Beautiful 2 bedroom suite, clean and lovely bathroom. Staff amazing nothing too much trouble. Location ideal for castle and cathedral. Also fab tapas bar opposite that we frequented both evenings.
Disliked: Pub across road had quiz night on the Tuesday that was loud and seemed to go on forever.
