Very good

Close to the cathedral

Liked: A quirky old building with the uneven stairs and floors which you might expect. We had a very spacious room but the small leaded light windows and dark wood panelling made the room very dark even with the lights on. The shower room was bright and modern. I had fresh fruit salad with yoghurt, and eggs and avocado on toast for breakfast - all very nice. Very close to the cathedral and town centre.
Disliked: There’s no reception and no obvious entrance. You just have to find someone to check you in at the bar. There’s no onsite parking (as expected) and nowhere easy to drop off luggage/passengers before parking. Some biscuits in the room would be nice.

Salisbury trip

Liked: Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and building full of character. Dyson air cooler great in room.
Disliked: Duvet too hot and space a bit tight.

Enjoyable, spacious room for four....

Liked: Charming hotel with history.
Disliked: No AC
