Liked: Booked this hotel as it was only about 5 minutes from where I needed to be in the evening. Had a burger in the garden which was enjoyable, and had a good breakfast - especially the fresh croissant.
Disliked: Only booked a single room which was a single bed, which I'm not used to (but not a fault with the hotel on that!).

Superb

Liked: What great friendly staff the team really made us welcome and nothing too much trouble
Disliked: Carpets a bit worn

Liked: Friendly feel, more like a hostel
Disliked: Rooms and hallway generally very tired. Could do with a little revamp

Convenient and cheerful

Liked: The location is very good. Parking is a bit of a problem, with no on-site parking but a fair amount of permit parking is available in nearby roads. We obtained our permit through a relative. I expect the hotel can help with this??The hotel had a nice vibe with many students using the bar and garden. We were not troubled by noise.
Disliked: It had too failings which are extremely common in hotels. The duvet was much too thick and therefore hot for use in spring (and probably in winter too in a heated room) and there were no hooks in the bathroom to hang up your clothes. Otherwise no complaint.

Disliked: Really needs some tlc. Carpet was horrible, bathroom very basic. Room was stifling hot.

Exceptional

Liked: Always friendly and welcoming. Always stay here when visiting Bristol.

Would stay again

Liked: Their breakfast is amazing. Although it’s carpet floor, it’s very clean.
Disliked: Since it has a pub under the rooms, the noise is a little bit annoying for the ones that’s light sleeper
