Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Nice but very disappointing

Liked: If we hadn’t had to go and search for food because the restaurant wasn’t open, I’m sure walking around on the grounds. Would’ve been really nice
Disliked: Website said there was a restaurant on site only to find out it was close permanently. after a long day in the bike we had to go and source food elsewhere. Even though the rooms had microwaves and stoves, there was nothing in the lobby that we could even purchase to cook..

Disappointing

Liked: The receptionist didn't like I didn't speak French - gave me a form to sign that was in French and then at the end handed me one that was in English.
Disliked: The main reason we stayed there was because of the spas etc. They are the front and centre of advertising but are not included in the accommodation. We stayed at 18 hotels on our trip and they were all included except this one. Additionally although it had a kitchen of sorts the toaster oven did not work and I know this is a First world problem but none of the crockery, cutlery etc matched. I felt like I was staying in a hostel.

Fantastic spot to relax in...

Liked: The location is right by the lake with view on to it, you can watch the colour of the lake change through out the morning and in the evening. It's near woods and the main road going around the lake. You can sometimes hear the trucks and the train which is very infrequent. There are lots of birds on the lake which was amazing.
Disliked: We could hear upstairs. It seemed kids were running up and down stairs which could be noisy at times. Also the hiking route near to us wasn't accessible.
