Bad Management-short staffed

Liked: The front desk staff were friendly and professional. The king suite was large and clean with a nice spa tub, the reason I rented the room.
Disliked: Upon arrival I was met by a man panhandling in front of the main doors. I told the security guard and his reaction was that this was normal. I went down to the casino shortly after checking in and found 4 slot machines where the spin button didn't work. One machine froze in the middle of free spins. I used the service button and no one came. After 10 minutes I asked a casino employee for help and he got a slot attendant. The attendant said next time I have a problem, I have to go to the cage, even though there was money in the machine, to leave it to get someone cause they have no staff. Upon returning to my room, the temperature was 18 degrees Celsius, and I had set the thermostat to 25. It wouldn't warm up and it's winter outside. The air-conditioner was running constantly, blowing cold air. Front desk said there was no manager on site and no maintenance staff. The other room that had the same bath was at 17 degrees. After the front desk called the manager, I was advised they would move me to another room, no bath, same price but offered a "free breakfast". I decided to just leave. Thankfully the hotel didn't charge me for the booking. I'll never come back.

it was a good place...

Liked: i liked that there was underground parking, we just had to go downstairs to our event & restaurant was good food.
Disliked: the restaurant wasn’t open early enough for breakfast. the toilet on our bathroom had some issues with flushing. it was very hot in the building, but it could have been just me?
