DO NOT BOOK. THE MOTEL...

Liked: An absolute disaster. We paid up front to Booking.com but when we arrived we had not received the promised room access PIN number. As we had UK mobiles that didn’t work in Australia we had to find a public pay phone to call the motel. There is no reception at the motel but I eventually talked to the motel manager. She told me that the motel did not have a reservation for us and, indeed, the motel was closed! The motel was now being used to house local homeless people! She said that Booking.com should not have accepted the booking nor taken our money. She confirmed that the motel had NOT received any funds from Booking.com and that they still held our money. Despite countless messages and two emails to Booking.com they have not responded. Absolutely appalling treatment from Booking.com. We will pursue this matter until we get a swift and full refund.
Disliked: The actual motel is CLOSED!! That means Booking.com that you should not have it advertised on your website and you should not be taking money off people for a service that is not available. The motel have been in contact with you to confirm that we were turned away but still you don’t accept your responsibility to address the situation and to reply to the many messages I have sent you.

Liked: Location and the managers were lovely. There was an issue with the lock on our rooms door, and they accommodated us quickly.
Disliked: The room was very smelly, potentially because of the permanent resident in the adjoining room.

Disliked: TV was receiving really bad interference from somewhere. Impossible to watch. Very disappointing.

Disliked: Outside was old and tacky. Pool area was dirty.

Liked: The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Far to small. No chairs. Very little places to hang things up. No room servicing. Towels were left out, but only changed once. The television was difficult to control. Some soap would have been handy.
