Hidden gem. Our second time...

Liked: We found this hotel on internet and if we had paid attention to some of the reviews we wouldn’t have stayed but glad we did. Staff is great, comfortable and restaurant on site is nice. Free transportation to Mayo. Hidden gem.
Disliked: A little dated but it’s fine.

A great value stay within...

Liked: This is a great value stay near the Mayo facilities in downtown Rochester. The extended stay rooms are sizable, with a foldout murphy bed in the living room. All extended stay rooms have a stove, microwave, full size fridge, and small dining table. Rooms have been updated, but do reflect their mid-70s or 80s construction. The rooms in the newer "tower" building are more modern. The pool is long enough to do laps in, and late checkout is frequently available.
Disliked: One of the external buildings allows smoking. That's something to be aware of. Also some of the bottom floor rooms smell musty and damp. The bathroom fans can be noisy, and the "retrofit" of a circulation fan into the extended stay rooms to circulate the A/C means you're always going to have fan noise.

I would not recommend it...

Liked: The breakfast was good and the restaurant attached to the building had good food . It was convenient to the clinic.
Disliked: The rooms were humid and everything needed updating.

Not impressed with the rooms.

Liked: The shuttle was excellent. The Trigg restaurant was wonderful and the hotel staff was great!
Disliked: The room was in desperate need of repairs. Several things didn’t work. The grab bar in the shower was falling off.

Liked: Clean rooms, staff was very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: I didn't get the room that I booked.
