Centennial Hotel

On checking into our room we found a left over tube of toothpaste and used floss on the bed. The hotel room was very hot and stuffy. We were woken early by noisy kitchen staff and the lady who served us breakfast was clearly rushed off her feet, and so when our breakfast arrived and we were served stale bread we felt we couldn't complain as the waitress was busy dealing with other customer complaints. We told the receptionist on checking out of the hotel and though she was very apologetic we were not offered any discount from our £120 room which is what we would have expected for such poor quality service.

Disliked: Overpriced; poor housekeeping; food not up to scratch.

Disliked: It was hot weather and the room was very warm, there was a fan in the room though.

Disliked: The room was far too hot. The breakfast was very limited and with dated choices.

Good value and convenience

Liked: Convenience to railway station, comfort, value.
Disliked: An issue for some to be wary of...some rooms required steep, narrow stair climbing. Could be problematic with heavy bags. Ask for lower level room if this presents a challenge.
