Centennial Hotel

On checking into our room we found a left over tube of toothpaste and used floss on the bed. The hotel room was very hot and stuffy. We were woken early by noisy kitchen staff and the lady who served us breakfast was clearly rushed off her feet, and so when our breakfast arrived and we were served stale bread we felt we couldn't complain as the waitress was busy dealing with other customer complaints. We told the receptionist on checking out of the hotel and though she was very apologetic we were not offered any discount from our £120 room which is what we would have expected for such poor quality service.

Liked: Helpful and friendly receptionist.
Disliked: Overpriced; poor housekeeping; food not up to scratch.

Superb

Liked: Free on-site parking within 5min of the train station makes this hotel unique. Good value for money and friendly staff.
Disliked: The attic rooms can get very hot and stuffy but there are fans provided.

Liked: Breakfast is very traditional English style, delicious and excellent. Hotel is in very good location, near Cambridge railway station. Except this is with no elevator, everything is perfect.

Great hotel in great location

Liked: Location was great. A short walk from Station and into city.Rooms were clean bright and airy. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Disliked: Would have given 10/10 had there been somewhere to sit outside for drink. It won't stop me returning though

Superb

Liked: Lovely friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Near to Railway station. Rooms lovely and clean. Plenty of towels. Water in bathroom lovely and hot. Had everything we needed. We had a hairdryer and an iron and ironing board. Very impressed.

Liked: staff were friendly, room was clean and great facilities. Location was handy as it is in the city.
Disliked: The bed was OK but could have been better. However that's more personal preference so not a criticism.

Liked: Perfect location, lovely breakfast and charming hotel overall
Disliked: The room we stayed in wasn’t very soundproof and on height with a car park, so we heard the people outside and above as a bit too much.
