Cedar Point Castaway Bay Indoor Water Park

Castaway Bay is Fun, but...

Liked: The location is great being just near the entrance to Cedar Point Causeway. Staff were friendly and helpful for the most part. Nice views of sunset if you have water front rooms. The hotel was clean but is showing age in some spots.
Disliked: The facilities were clean and the staff was very nice. We had a few issues however, firstly the water park was not fully staffed. So a full 1/3 of the park was closed including the large waterslides, which was disappointing for the kids. Secondly our shower was out of body wash. When we called the front desk asking for a refill they told us they were out of body wash... and that was it. No attempts were made at supplying guests with an alternative body wash or anything which I find to be a poor management decision. And lastly we booked a room with 2 queen size beds. I'm not sure who supplies the hotel with their beds but they are in no way queen size. My wife and I have a queen bed at home and have plenty of room available for if one of our kids wants to sleep next to us that night. But these beds are much smaller than a queen and I think may even be smaller than a Full Size. But what's worse is they are without a doubt the hardest and most uncomfortable beds from any hotel I have ever stayed in. Three points which didn't ruin our time but definitely detracted from it.

Liked: Is the water park was very nice, I was really happy to see all of the life guards.. It really has everything a kid would want to play on.. My son loves the arcade, Is it had a great selection of games to play..

Liked: It was awesome there was really no one there so it was almost just us and I’ve never and probably will never get that opportunity again but it was awesome!!!
Disliked: Humongous hot tub for me and my honey to recover from our long work lives!! It was great
