The Spotlight on Cedar Crest Inn

Charming 19th-Century B&B Just Minutes from Asheville’s Music Scene

Cedar Crest Inn is a romantic and cozy bed and breakfast nestled in a beautiful Victorian mansion in Asheville. Located just two miles from downtown and major venues, this inn blends historic charm with modern comforts like free WiFi, air-conditioned rooms, and streaming-enabled TVs. Whether you're catching a concert or exploring the city, its warm, welcoming vibe makes it a relaxing base after a night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you’re seeing a show at Harrah’s Cherokee Center or catching live music downtown, you’ll love that Cedar Crest Inn is just a quick 5-10 minute drive away. After the encore, return to a peaceful, quieter setting—perfect for unwinding. The free private parking is a huge plus if you're driving in, and the cozy ambiance makes for a great post-concert wind-down. While public transport is limited, rideshares are easy to grab from this location.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a unique and charming stay
  • Solo travelers attending a dream show and wanting a memorable B&B experience
  • Couples on a weekend concert getaway
  • Fans seeking a quieter, more restful place to recharge after a loud night
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who appreciate value and charm

Food and Drink Options

While Cedar Crest Inn doesn’t offer 24/7 dining, guests rave about the delicious breakfast served daily—perfect for those sleepy concert mornings. A short drive or walk takes you to several local eateries and cafes, and some rooms even come with kitchenettes for late-night snacks or meals. Asheville’s thriving food scene is right around the corner.

Nightlife Options

Though the inn itself is more of a quiet retreat, you’re just minutes from Asheville’s lively bar and music scene. Whether you’re after craft brews, rooftop cocktails, or live local bands, downtown has plenty to offer. Head back to the inn for a nightcap by the outdoor fireplace—a perfect way to end the night.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the inn’s historic charm, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. Many love the relaxing atmosphere and convenient location near both the Biltmore Estate and downtown venues. The cleanliness and attention to detail also get high marks.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that since it’s a historic property, rooms may vary in size and soundproofing. It’s not a modern high-rise hotel—so expect more character than uniformity. Also, there’s no elevator, so pack light if you're on the upper floors.

The Bottom Line

Cedar Crest Inn offers a peaceful, charming stay just minutes from Asheville's top music venues—ideal for concert-goers who want both convenience and comfort.

A marvelous pink historic Bed...

Liked: I will definitely be staying at Cedar Crest or one of its sister properties the next time I'm in Asheville! The property is close to the Biltmore and downtown Asheville. I loved the pink historic home and all of the rooms in the home! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The house is kept very clean and the breakfast is fantastic! This is the most beautiful bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in!
Disliked: I wish on booking.com we could select what bedroom we want to stay in. When you book through here you end up being put in a random room- we ended up upgrading to the one we wanted!
