Cave Castle Hotel & Country Club

The hotel is very pleasant with ducks by the river. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the general atmosphere is good.

Liked: The aspect and the range of breakfast items.
Disliked: The first breakfast space was not so good: with coffee standing in dispensers and hot water that wasn't so hot.

Beautiful castle, uncomfortable room

Disliked: Our room was a long way in the back, the shower had lots of mold, beds weren’t comfortable

Liked: Staff very polite and helpful. Food good. Lots of facilities but we did not make use of the leisure facilities or golf.

Liked: Our first trip since the wife has had chemo so we just wanted somewhere to chill out and cave castle exceeded our expectations the staff were all wonderful and helpful

Wedding anniversary get away

Liked: Its a lovely setting when you approched Cave Castle Hotel and walking into reception, it had a lovely castle feel. The gym/ pool staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and had great facilities. We also had lunch in the Courtyard Bistro which was nice.
Disliked: Our room did not have a window view, had frosted glass, so no natural light. We did ask reception and they advised there was only limited rooms which had a view, i would have booked or requested a room with a view if i knew i had to as it was a special occasion.Room was ok, we wasnt blown away even though we were in a castle.Not fridge either, most Hotels have fridges.We booked the restaurant for dinner, felt rushed getting servered a 3 course dinner in around 35 mins. Food wasnt a wow either, was disappointed.No special attention was given, even though i advised them it was our wedding anniversary.

Liked: I have stayed many times and always had only good experiences
Disliked: I had room service, a sandwich, which wasn't very pleasant it was not presented very well. It was what I would call plastic beef, and the horseradish was like water just slopped on it.It tasted awful that Ibinned most of it.I woke at 5am with sickness and the runs which was down to this sandwich. This prevented me from attending the spa which I had paid for and looked forward to attending that morning. I left early on this occasion but normally I would do the late check out as I always use the spa on the moron checking out.

Liked: Excellent bridal suite. Fantastic breakfast. Friendly staff and exceptionally clean.
Disliked: Electric showers wet weak anx difficult to control. Additional cost for pool/spa seemed unnecessary.
