Cave Castle Hotel & Country Club

The hotel is very pleasant with ducks by the river. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the general atmosphere is good.

Liked: The aspect and the range of breakfast items.
Disliked: The first breakfast space was not so good: with coffee standing in dispensers and hot water that wasn't so hot.

Liked: Good environ , tasty food in restaurant . Some staff were very friendly .
Disliked: In the evening the gym , which I had to pay £12 for , was full of youngsters using their phones and chatting with friends whilst hogging the machines .. with no supervision / trainers monitoring the place .

Disliked: We did not like that we were given the room without any kind of view. The windows were tinted and were facing the brick wall. In the morning when wake up, need to enjoy a bit of some kind of view.

Disliked: Had room number 111 first and it was awful dark and dingey with no atmosphere or nice features at all. We asked for another room and the lady on reception was amazing and she gave us room 31 instead which was so much nicer and had a view.

We went some months ago paying not much more but the rooms were great.This time was in other side of the castle, very disappointed as when I booked I was not aware of possible to have this type of...room
