Exceptional

Liked: Rick's a nice guy
Disliked: Don't expect 5 star clean safe and friendly

Adequate for a short stay.

Liked: Location (close to the beach). Kitchen was well equipped. Friendly host. Nice sitting room downstairs. Inexpensive.
Disliked: Our family room was very small. Linens and towels old and musty smelling. Whole place could use some updating and/or a deep clean.

A place to lay our...

Liked: This is listed as a hostel and that is exactly what it is. It is not a hotel with stars. We had a bed for the night in our own room with an en-suite shower room It was clean. The room could have slept 7. Rick was a good host and explained about everything and said he would be available for any problems and he was. Carried out bags to the car when we were leaving.
Disliked: Because it was what we expected it’s difficult to answer this. It is tired and needs some general upkeep in terms of painting and decorating.
