A taste of history to...

Liked: Amazing location next door to the cathedral. Close to wide choice of restaurants. Wonderful welcome at reception and helpful throughout. Bland modernity this is not, rather steeped in history, style and character. Breakfast served in room was excellent.
Disliked: The bathroom is tiny but quirky, so no issue!

Liked: Best location in Canterbury and beautifully run family hotel
Disliked: It's an old heritage building so don't stay here if you want state of the art services

Great location, right next to...

Liked: Located right in the middle of all the action, friendly and helpful staff, lovely cooked breakfast.
Disliked: This is an old property which has been nicely renovated, but the bed belongs in a museum! It must have been designed when the average male in the UK was about 4 foot nothing! Ended up sleeping on the floor. Disappointing because everything else was fine.

Overnight stay visiting Cathedral .

Liked: Staff very friendly and Rob very helpful recommending a very good place to eat . The building is querky and very old but charming . Location right by cathedral entrance in centre of town .
Disliked: We were on the front and from 4.15 am were woken by the noise from revellers and various vehicles such as refuse lorries , delivery trucks . Tip ask for a room at the back . They did provide ear plugs but we did not see them until morning .

Exceptional stay, fantastic staff

Liked: I came to stay here on the 19th May for my graduation at the Cathedral. We had two rooms booked. The staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly. The went above and beyond to make our stay and check out as comfortable as possible. Lovely breakfast options included. Thankyou very much to you all for making our special day run smooth.

A comfortable hotel in the...

Liked: You won’t get a better location in Canterbury, right by the cathedral and the Buttermarket it’s an easy walk to anywhere in the city. The staff were really friendly and helpful and can offer lots of useful information about Canterbury.
Disliked: We booked the hotel with breakfast included and, while we did get a ‘continental’ breakfast, we were disappointed to find out after booking that a cooked breakfast would be an additional £9.50 each. It felt a bit like a bait and switch. That said, the continental breakfast was fine & healthy and we didn’t start the day hungry. I just wished it would have been made obvious prior to booking.

Great location and staff

Liked: Fantastic location and the host, Monica was lovely and really helpful, couldn't do enough for us Continental breakfast was included and delivered to our room which was a nice touch The building is very old and the wonkiness of the rooms reflect this, however the room was still clean, comfortable and an extremely convenient place to rest our heads for the night!
