Liked: We loved The Cathedral Gates Hotel. Seemed a bit difficult to find at first, as its frontage is only a small doorway. We loved the quirkiness of the hotel and the room was very comfortable and spacious.
Disliked: Actually nothing that we disliked.

Great location, quaint rooms and...

Liked: Location was fantastic, right next to the Cathedral. The staff were welcoming and gave us great suggestions for site seeing and dinner. Breakfast was lovely and checking in was easy.
Disliked: The bed was only a double and a little small for us.

Liked: In contrast to many places I have stayed, the staff here know how to run a hotel. Attentive and professional service makes the difference. And the cathedral view was very nice.

Liked: Very nice breakfasts, helpful staff, perfect location right by the Cathedral with a great view of it from my room window
Disliked: The stairs up to my top floor room, steep, narrower than my feet with fragile bannisters that didn't even reach right to the top of the stairs, which felt dangerous. The lack of en suite bathroom/toilet was impractical too.
