Unbeatable location. Friendly, informative staff.

Liked: Quirky, as you would expect for it's age and location. And location is, by far, it's biggest asset. The chap on reception when we arrived was exceptionally friendly and full of top tips of things to see and places to eat for our short stay. They all turned out to be top tips, so it saved on us taking pot luck and guessing. If you book expecting modern Hilton style rooms and facilities, you're going to be sorely disappointed. If you want a hotel room where you look out of your window at one of the worlds great cathedrals, literally metres away, this is the place.
Disliked: A small fridge in the room would have been nice? Nothing else.

Liked: Excellent location and very helpful and courteous staff
Disliked: My room was noisy (above the street) and I could not get hot water out of the shower. At night the water in basins was lukewarm although in the morning it was hot.

Liked: The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we were happy. Seriously, our stay was faultless, and I’ve already recommended it to friends who are thinking of visiting Canterbury.
Disliked: There were no negative issues at all about the hotel.
