Liked: Everything... Old hotel full of character. The staff were all lovely and helpful. One staff member in particular (Monica) was exceptionally helpful recommending places to visit and asking how your day had been when you returned to the hotel in the evening. This hotel is one of the most friendly hotels I've ever stayed in. On top of that the building is old and full of traditional character. It was clean and well maintained and walking distance to everything you want to do in Canterbury. Will definitely return

Creaky but central

Liked: Location very central, quaint and old nice welcome and pleasant staff
Disliked: A bit tired, very small shower and tiny wash basin extremely hot water. Thin walls, tiny tv, sockets very awkward to use, floodlights on all night shining on the windows

Perfect location , friendly staff...

Liked: Amazing location literally next door to the Cathedral , everywhere is within easy walking distance. Lovely quirky boutique hotel with comfortable rooms and plenty of character. A very warm welcome by the owner and staff who were keen to make sure everything went well with our stay, full of local knowledge and recommendations.
Disliked: Looking onto Burgate as our room did does come with outside noise. Next time I would book a room at the back of the hotel looking onto the Cathedral.

Disliked: nothing comes to mind - except budget extra for parking - which is fine but its extra

Liked: Very accommodating staff, excellent location, breakfast was good quality service and food .
Disliked: This is not a hotel for those who cannot climb stairs or find lots of different levels of steps easy to manoeuvre

Liked: It was a perfect location--easily walkable to everything in Canterbury. The space was clean. Staff was very nice. Our mattress was very hard; when I mentioned it to the staff they added a topper and it was much more comfortable.
