Catalonia Excelsior Hotel

Dated and not up to...

Liked: Got a room next to reception. I mean. Exactly next to reception. No option to open window but would have been street level anyway. After one night we could change room in 2nd floor. Room was very dated and not worth the price.

Exceptional

Liked: Location was excellent. The hotel was expensive but very nice. We received a free upgrade to a suite. We originally booked a twin room but the suite was large and suited us. We had a lovely terrace where we could see the hustle bustle of the road below.
Disliked: Every was lovely.

Lovely Valencia

Liked: Breakfast was excellent and the location is perfect!
Disliked: Nothing

Best value for money in...

Liked: Amazing, helpful and highly professional staff. 7th floor suite was just perfect. Very clean and well decorated hotel.Delicious breakfast. Everything was just more than I expected.

Liked: The restaurant was closed so no breakfast option. Outside of our window were cigarette ends. The refurbishment needed a bit more thought.

Disliked: Cold in the room, not enough equipment (bathrobes etc.), you could hear everything from other rooms and outside, under the door was seethrough

Great hotel and good value!

Liked: The room was confy and the bed is very nice! Bright room and nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff and calm to sleep in.
Disliked: Unfortunately the reception smelled of fish. This was because it was temporarily moved to the bar due to construction work.
