A nice stay spoiled by...

Liked: Room was nice, fairly clean, nice bathroom and comfortable bed
Disliked: Fridge in room didn't work when we arrived. Had to ask staff at reception 3 times before it was fixed. On the 1st morning we went to have breakfast, the staff member ticked our room on her list and breakfast was fine.On the 2nd morning we went to have breakfast, the staff member informed us that breakfast wasn't included after we had started eating. OK I said we will finish breakfast and will sort it out at reception. The staff member came over 3 more times and embarrassed us in front of other guests and made us feel uncomfortable. I raised this point at reception and paid for the breakfast. The hotel staff weren't interested and this spoiled our day.

Liked: We liked it because of the history and it was modern.
Disliked: Kettle cable to short. We had to put the kettle in the bathroom. Although I am very pleased that we got a kettle in the hotel because we like a cuppa/ coffee soon as we walk in from seeing the city. Staff were very friendly. The room was v clean spotless. Central for nearly everything. Definitely would recommend and we would definitely stay again. Although the doors going to the rooms in the corridors are very heavy not disabled friendly I would recommend automatic electric doors ( button push) I can say this because I am disabled and that would a very concern of mine if I couldn’t get around. but overall enjoyed our stay.
