Castlefield Hotel

Very nice place to stay. Centrally located to nightlife and the many restaurants around. From the train station google directed us towards the canal - it's a lovely scenic walk but if you have a suitcase the cobbled areas make it difficult and then there are two sets of steps to get to the hotel. Alternatively, come out of the station and turn right, cross at the crossing opposite the Hilton, and that road is Liverpool Rd, continue down, and the hotel will be on the left. The staff are very welcoming, thanks to Thea for making it even better. The staff are very accommodating to your needs. Thanks also to Maria, who served us behind the bar. Our room was immaculate. We were on the street side, which can be noisy, but the double glazed windows helped. Although we slept with the windows open, it was fine for us. We were able to use the Y Club with gym, full-length swimming pool, steam, and sauna rooms free of charge. You need a £ coin for the lockers, and towels are provided. Overall, we had a wonderful two night stay and will definitely be returning. In addition, the hotel is charity run, so anything you buy goes towards helping the community youths, which is an added bonus.

Disliked: Had someone watching us through pur window and then staff accuse us of smoking when my pregnant girlfriend was trying to shower

Liked: The staff are simply second to none. They are friendly, welcoming, take pride in what they do, and seem to all get on well with each other. Strong team and great customer service. If I owned a hotel of my own, I would bring my team here to show them the standard of customer service. Quite simply they set the bar.
Disliked: Nothing in particular, wish it had a bath in the room. Everything excelled.
