Disliked: On arrival, the entrance steps smelled strongly of cat urine. On opening the door, our room (on the top floor) was cold. CH wasn’t on, but found a tiny oil filled radiator which I immediately plugged in. The room was slow to warm, despite the CH eventually coming on whilst we were out (after 19:45) and it was lukewarm in the morning. En suite had no heating, so we kept the door wide open to warm it as much as possible. Sink is in the bedroom, not the en-suite. No wifi.TV wouldn’t work. We retuned it twice to no avail. Garbled picture and audio only, so switched it off. Late response from text by host on asking how this would be addressed. Advertised free local parking not found, so used nearish NCP. Bed not comfortable - creaked with every change of position. Ridiculously expensive fees for breakfast! £9.50 for continental and £19.50 for cooked, so we had neither. Female staff was abrupt when partner asked for a little milk in the morning so we could make coffee in our room. We will not be returning.

Liked: Beautiful scenery, room was gorgeous, whole place is gorgeous in fact. Stunning little bnb.
Disliked: Breakfast was overpriced for the tiny portion we got. We expected a buffet for the price per person but the owner sorted us a refund and was very on the ball.

Liked: The location for the city was excellent.The room was lovely and a beautiful bay window with great views.

Would not stay here another...

Liked: Historic old building. Central location. Host pleasant and recommended a good Fish and chip shop for supper. Breakfast available but additional cost although advertised as B&B.
Disliked: Our room was at the top of 4 flights of narrow winding stairs. The host offered to move us down but we had already climbed up. Room furniture was dusty. Bedding was faded and old. Room small but could have accommodated a Queen bed as double bed small for two people. Pillows were lumpy but bed was comfortable.
