Located in the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed in the Northumberland countryside Castle Vale House is a quiet family-run Victorian country house with free parking and free Wi-Fi. Each room at Castle Vale House features tea and coffee making facilities a flat-screen TV with a DVD player and an private bathroom. Most rooms also offer views of the River Tweed the garden and the Stephenson Viaduct. A hearty breakfast is served daily and it includes homemade jams freshly baked bread and yogurt. One of my best experiences...

Liked: This accommodation is absolutely stunning! I stayed in the beautifully decorated room no. 1, which has wonderful views both up- and downstream. Breakfast was superb, both the breakfast itself as well as the company you had since they have a large dining table around almost everybody gathered. I am traveling alone and highly appreciated the conversations I had, as well as the hosts and their employees who were always so friendly and helpful! Everything is clean, quiet and relaxing. I really enjoyed my stay and would always return when in Berwick! Thank you so much for everything!

Great place and lovely genuine...

Liked: Friendly welcome. Comfortable bed and good size room. Breakfast was excellent. Would stay again.

such a homely feel, but...

Liked: the property was so outstanding, a little cottage house so full of life and personality, inside and out, from the walls so beautifully decorated with art and photos, to the trinkets, furniture and colours all throughout! this stay felt so homely but so grand simultaneously! and the GARDEN!? phenomenal! THE VIEW? extravagant!!the owners and staff were so kind, hospitable and welcoming, Margaret, Justin and Tracey made our stay so easy and comfortable! thank you for welcoming us to your cottage and thank you tracey for feeding us!

Liked: The location was brilliant, amazing view across the Tweed and the viaduct.Excellent breakfast produced by Tracy who was a real star.Free car parking and short walk into the town.Comfortable accommodation a home from home.
