Our high class hideaway from...

Liked: This was the BEST surprise along our trip. The room was so comfortable with plush bedding and luxurious amenities. The private bathroom was upgraded and had the rainfall shower head of my dreams! The room had so many nice extras that we appreciated- they truly thought of everything! Also Ian and David’s service was next level. The homemade to order breakfast each morning and personal touches really made this stay one of our favorites in a long time! Also the view from our room was priceless.
Disliked: Not a thing! Everything was intentionally cared for and thought of.

Great place to stay in...

Liked: We love this place. Really nice and cozy rooms, with an amazing breakfast and an even better service from Ian and David. Edinburgh is a place to walk, and everything is near by, but if you want to take a bus to go to some.place, you have a bus stop in front of the building. Is a Guest House that I gully recommend!

The best Guest house I...

Liked: The room was perfect- very good space for me with a table and comfy chair to use as my desk during my stay. Bathroom was exceptional also with loads of space and inimmaculate condition! Breakfasts were all 5 star events! You could have Vegetarian, Full Scottish (!) or smoked Salmon. For all choices you could have eggs cooked as you like it with freshly baked toast (brown or white). You could also have freshly prepared croissant (or Pain au Chocolat!) if ordered the day before- the smell wrafted up to the second floor and it made me regret not ordering one!). Location is exceptional- Bruntsfield area is my favourite in the whole of Edinburgh! It puts to shame Princes Street area which is dirty, too much hustle and bustle and full of closed down shops. Bruntsfield Place has loads of small fascinating independent shops- not a Tesco, Cafe Nero or Starbucks to be seen until you go towards Toll Cross! Bruntsfield Place reminded me of South Yarra in Melbourne! The folks who run Castle Park Guest House are friendly, helpful and full of local information if you ever need it!
Disliked: That I did not stay there long enough or that I did nor order a Pain au Chocolat for breakfast!

Family vibe B&B

Liked: The owners of the B&B were very accommodating with great attention to details, really enjoyed our interactionsLoved the personalized breakfast and attention to no-waste and sustainability topicInteresting Scottish patterns themed rooms and as it was a X-mas time we had very cute X-mas tree in the dining room with minimalistic decorationsConvenient location - bus stops are nearby and walking distance to city-center (25-30 min max)
Disliked: Room for 1 is quite small but was well organized and had everything you might need. Walls are not very soundproof - heard my neighbors conversation - its a minor inconvenience as the building is quite old
