Lovely Stay

Liked: Very welcoming staff, room was very spacious and very clean. A lovely touch of having 2 Creme Eggs for us on arrival in the room as it was Easter. Breakfast was fab, great variety and super tentative staff. Pool area was lovely also.
Disliked: Areas of the hotel may require a little updating however I do understand that it is an old hotel and not change the character.

A decent value but could...

Liked: The staff were wonderful, the grounds were terrific, the restaurant and food top notch.
Disliked: The suites could use some new furniture. The sofas in the living room need to be replaced and the beds were not good.

Liked: Josephine in the bar is a gem. You need to do everything to keep her. She is your best asset. So lovely and genuine and helpful. Location is great. Great to have use of the leisure centre.
Disliked: The suites are old and in serious need of upgrading. Furniture, fittings and carpets have not been updated for decades. I expected a lot more given the large jump in pricing at this venue. Quite dusty. Dirty windows. Shabby. Other hotels at the same price are far superior. It was NOT good value for the high cost

Liked: Filthy, nothing working, mixer taps for bath didn’t work could only use shower dark dull dated and dirty a complete rip off the only good thing were the staff were friendly
