Liked: Lovely clean hotel , helpful staff .

Very good

Too expensive for what it...

Liked: We liked the position of the hotel not far from the centre. The price looked reasonable compared to other hotels, but we quickly realised why it was cheaper.
Disliked: We were given Room 1, which was small and overlooked the roundabout, making it very noisy. As soon as we entered the room, we realized the window wasn't closing properly. We asked the staff to fix it and, ideally, move us to another, quieter room, as we had issues falling asleep. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to move rooms, as, according to the staff, there were no more rooms available that night. The room felt dusty, and the carpet was old with some visible stains on it. It didn't feel like the room was adequate for the price. The next day, we were woken up by the fire alarm. We were told that this was caused by another customer while toasting bread for breakfast... no fire likely just an awful start of the day. All in all, it wasn't a pleasant night, I'm afraid, and I don't think we will come back to this hotel for this price.

Liked: Breakfast was continental, but with good variety. Liked the garden area, pleasant to sit in on a sunny day. Room & bathroom very spacious, bed enormous, high ceilings, opening windows, and 2 good fans- very useful in this current heatwave! Hotel directly on a busy roundabout so traffic noise a problem if windows open. But only 10 mins walk into centre of Canterbury so location good overall. And hotel has its own carpark, very convenient.
Disliked: Would have appreciated more fresh fruit at breakfast. Socket a little loose in bedroom and not all of them working. Decor a bit dated but reasonably priced for what it is.

Liked: Location was great.
Disliked: Dirty carpet, very low water pressure in the shower, window difficult to open and close, tv didn’t work. Overall unclean and in dire need of a renovation.

Great location

Liked: The great location (easy 10-15 minute walk to the High Street), free parking, helpful staff, the attractive garden (a few more tables/chairs might encourage more guests to take advantage of this maybe.)
Disliked: Our stay happened to coincide with a spell of very hot weather (30+ degrees) and our room in the Coach House, a separate building, had no air conditioning and a single small window which could not be opened more than a few inches (regulations presumably), the floor standing fan provided was a godsend but nights were still challenging.

Great value for money, super...

Liked: Staff was very friendly and helpful. They really made a difference.
Disliked: Room was a bit dated, but no issues that would prevent us enjoying our stay.
