Liked: Gorgeous house with vintage rooms. Staff is pleasant and attentive. The food was absolutely beautiful both evening meal and breakfast. We stayed in the suite and it was very spacious with a vintage theme. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Everything was great, just one little point was that our bedside lamps didn't work, both of them, otherwise, can't fault castlegrove.

Unexpected joy!

Liked: This was an unexpected joy to find. 300 year old manor with huge rooms. Dinner and breakfast are amazing in the dining room. Also a must try is their strawberry gin and tonic drink in the drawing room before dinner!

Liked: Very gracious old house. Jacqueline, Eoin and Irene were helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner and breakfast was very tasty and well done.

Pleasant stay but disappointed at...

Liked: Breakfast - table service rather than buffet, but the number of courses more than enough and very high quality cooking and presentation.Dinner was excellent with a good choice. Probably overpriced.
Disliked: We had booked/paid for a 'superior' double but were allocated a very obviously 'standard' double which didn't match the list of facilities. We pointed this out and were reallocated a 'superior' twin. This was good but not as advertised picture for the double, or as we expected.

Fantastic relaxing stay

Liked: The location is great, out in the country beside the river with lovely garden. We relaxed in the garden with our drinks before dinner. Dinner was perfect, my mum had seatrout and I had sirloin steak which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Beds were so comfy and really quiet room. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Will definitely be back
