Stay away - not for...

Liked: Location, staff was helpful (even tho, took them like half an hour to check in, and before you ask, it is not like lots of people turned up at the same time).
Disliked: It was the worst hostel I have ever been to (and I have been travelling for years). Lots of weird people (did not look like backpackers), the most disgusting thing ever was (when somebody woke me up by being loud in the room around 4 am) and I have seen someone pissing in the bottle (in the dorm) instead going to toilet, or another person has throw up in the dorm like half an hour later. Originally, I wanted to stay for a few nights but in the end left early in the morning.

Very poor

Disliked: I reserved on April 5th on the app because it said they still had availability, but when I got there the receptionist said that he was all booked up. Since they were transferring data from an old software to a new one that the system didn't recognize my reservation, and that they were overbooked at %105. And that he didn't have any space for me, I called afterwards for a refund since I was charged and a guy answered and took down my name and phone number and said he'd get someone to contact me about that. But I never heard from anyone, I have evidence that I took an Uber and had to stay at the bus station - and even Booking said they couldn't do anything to help me with the refund.

A bit weird

Liked: Rooftop and terrace, spacious, central, comfy bed, numerous showers and restrooms, most staff friendly
Disliked: A manager had kept all the utensiles in the reception, so each time you have to leave 100 pesos or an ID, sign a paper for a plastic plate, frying pan, fork and a plastic cup. Take them 3 floors up the stairs and brinh them back. Real hassle. Most of the time they didnt even have a knife! Staff told me it was a female manager called Vivien! What she is doing is not smart. Even if kitchen get dirty or people take their stuff, it is worth providing comfort to the guests. However there are some people who live there for long so it is a bit weird

Passable

Liked: The staff is cool. The beds are fine. The hostel is pretty clean.
Disliked: Gendered bathrooms are disproportionated. The common spaces have really poor and uncomfortable furniture. The court at the entrance is not very welcoming.

great place to crash

Liked: location, gym, kitchen, lots of social spaces n nooks, lots of showers, hot water, cute place.
Disliked: sound travels a lot… lots of sounds thru the night, people staying up late speaking loud, partying vibe? paint peeling in a lot of places- when was the last deep clean? no toilet paper for whiles, no tour of where is what, a little strange feeling of maybe anyone can come and go from the entrance…

Uncomfortable beds and rude bunkmates...

Liked: Well located without being in the crush of heavy tourist zone. If you need cheap place for a few days and will be out all day (returning only to sleep) then I recommend. It's better than most places at this price and I've seen them all.
Disliked: Rude staff, not helpful when issues arose, in fact they treat guests like they are in a prison. Very little hospitality. The hotel is also FULL of deported people from the US who were expelled from the country and they are living at this place long term. Guests from India and China were noisy and rude and unable to communicate with anyone. Guests living at the hotel do not follow rules and leave room doors wide open, have others come into room, and were observed selling/distributing drugs.
