Worst Hostel I have ever...

Liked: The location is convenient very close to the historic center, very accessible by public transport, and there was a little nice dog, that’s about it.
Disliked: I got an upper bunk bed, didn’t have personal light which was very inconvenient because the common lights were off since people wanted to sleep of course, there was only an outlet, the bed was not bad but the surroundings were horrible dirty, like nobody had swept the floor in days or weeks, the smells OMG I can’t even described it, there was a lot of hand washed clothes hanging around, the common areas were not finished, must of the areas were like in a remodel process or something, and the rooftop was very dirty, with crumbs and dirty dishes, I stayed there 1 hour and couldn’t bear the idea of staying so I had to go out and find a new place.The WiFi worked only in common areas.

Poor service, unsafe location and...

Disliked: I had a very unpleasant experience with CASA MX Alameda. I made a reservation through a booking platform, but when I arrived at the property, I was told there were no available rooms. The staff simply said it wasn’t their fault and blamed the booking system, without taking any responsibility. There was no prior communication to inform me of the issue, and no one followed up about a refund either.Additionally, the area around the hostel felt unsafe,, and the place itself had a noticeable dirty smell, which made me very uncomfortable. I definitely would not recommend this place to other travelers.
