Spacious, comfortable and location can't...
Liked: The location can't be beat and the units are comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend Casa Mali to anyone going to Mexico City.
Disliked: The units in the back of the building don't have natural light in most of the space, but there is more than adequate lighting in all rooms.

Great Locstion and Comfortable!
Liked: When I first began searching where to stay on this trip, I was torn on the city center or a more niche neighborhood. I’m so glad i ended up at Casa Mali. The photos of the rooms don’t do it justice - they are huge and so comfortable. They even include a washer and dryer which is unheard of in anywhere I’ve stayed in the room. The location in Condesa is absolutely perfect and right across the street from the park. There’s always an on site security and you must buzz in for entry which as a solo traveler was great. The premises weren’t loud and it felt like a true boutique hotel stay. They offer breakfast daily but it left a bit to be desired but for coffee and tea it does the job. I scheduled all my excursions outside of the hotel so can’t speak to how great they are on that not. The only nuisance was the TV did not work for Netflix and seems other guests had the same issue.

Casa Mali is a luxurious...
Liked: The property is beautiful, the location on the park is lovely, and the staff is super attentive to every detail. The rooms and building are exceedingly clean and well maintained. The beds and linens were luxurious and the air conditioner worked great. The rooms were really quiet. We had family in both the Studio size and Junior Suite sized rooms. Both came with kitchenette and washer/dryers. In the end, we could have booked just the Studio size because there was an outdoor roof deck (and tables in the lobby) for when we needed to gather together as a group. There is a beautiful intimate bar on site, too. The Parque Mexico is directly across the street and the wonderful Amsterdam walking loop is one block away. There were many good restaurants very close by, lots of little specialty food markets, and a Walmart Express grocery store within 3 blocks. The walk to the Metro station and larger stores was not too far and the neighborhood felt completely safe.
Disliked: The price was high and the breakfast was basic continental style and never changed, but there are lots of great coffee shops nearby if you want a change. The location is great for relaxing in the neighborhood and the park, but if you want to go into town a lot for museums, historic center, shows at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, and walking tours meeting points, then you will be taking a lot of taxis or metro rides. The transportation was very inexpensive, so this was not a problem. But the traffic was usually bad and so you have to add a lot of time to get places.

Not relaxing.
Liked: The location, on Parque Mexico, was perfect for us. The staff was pleasant - although when it came to fixing an overwhelming issue - the fact that the room they assigned wasn't the comfortable suite that we booked and paid for - they did nothing.
Disliked: The room was utterly unlike the pictures. The pictures on Booking of the 'suite' we chose showed- A comfortable bedroom with lots of room and 2 windows. In fact, the bedroom was miniscule; it only fit the bed, with a cluttered nighttable on each side, one very small window, and an armoire which was so close to the end of the bed that you couldn't pass through the room, or even stand in front of the armoire. Additionally, the door swing of the door to the rest of the suite took up the same place as the armoire door; before exiting the room, you had to shut the armoire. THIS 'SUITE' is totally unsuited to the use of 2 people. Even a single person would find it tight. And I have an NYC apartment, so when I say this room is tiny, I know it is!- A second room with a sofa, a round table with 3 chairs, a window and a kitchen. In fact, the second 'room' of our suite was a narrow hallway. No sofa AT ALL, no table with chairs - just a ledge with a couple of high stools pushed underneath which were entirely unusable anyway as if you pulled them out, they took up the entire corridor and interfered with the door to the 'bedroom'This 'design hotel' was long on glitz and very short on practicality. Useless items on tabletops, 6 pillows on the bed that had to be stashed 'somewhere' to sleep (and there wasn't a 'somewhere'). The bottles of product in the shower wouldn't squeeze (and weren't replaced when I asked). The second showerhead (other than the rain head) was cheap and gave out only a trickle of water. The TV was positioned beside the bed, in a location perfect for whacking your head on as you tried to squeeze out of bed, but impossible to watch from anywhere.

Great location across from lovely...
Liked: Our room was pleasant and it was nice to have a suite with sofa, outdoor balcony, refrigerator, wash/dryer. Bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: One could not flush toilet paper in the toilet. Shower large but only one of the fixtures was working. Breakfast was simple, coffee not great or hot.
