Casa Loma was a decent place to stay for the price. Small and a little cold but what do you expect for an old building in San Francisco. The shared bathroom was not as clean as it could have been but if you just want a cheap place to stay in a good location this is the place.
Liked: Quiet and straight to the point.
Disliked: Shared bathroom was not as clean as it could have been.

Would not book a room...
Liked: Hotel room and bathroom were clearly not cleaned before we showed up, the room looked nothing like what was advertised. Whole room smelled of cigarette smoke and weed. Not worth the location or the price.

Liked: Nothing that I can remember. Maybe when our stay was over and I knew I wouldn't be staying there again. EVER!
Disliked: They staff was extremely unfriendly and made it seem like I was being a burden by asking them some simple questions.

Liked: The location
Disliked: I didn√Ę‚?¨‚?Ęt like the bed, super uncomfortable, the lady at the front desk was just weird and when I called and asked for sheets I couldn√Ę‚?¨‚?Ęt get them until the next day because she√Ę‚?¨‚?Ęs not even at the office. I believe she lives there. It wa

Busy street and no A/C...
Liked: The location of the hotel was great. Literally around the corner from Alamo Square park and The Painted Ladies. It was also a short ride away from pretty much all of the sights in SF. All of the staff that I interacted with were very nice and helpful.
Disliked: The room looked like it was in the middle of being renovated. The walls were covered in plaster and black marker. There?s no elevator and our room was on the third floor (which was actually the fourth). The room was along the side of a busy street and the sound of traffic woke me up continuously every single night. There is no A/C in the rooms. There is a vent in the ceiling but no air comes out. On the day before checkout the daytime high reached over 90. It was like sleeping in an oven that night, and I couldn?t leave the windows open because the traffic outside was already loud enough with them closed.

Room was EXTREMELY HOT, No...
Liked: The only positive was the internet connection! I had a 2 hours Zoom Video Conference, and the internet didn't get cut off. This is the only positive. Besides this, everything else is negative, from sanity issue to lack of air conditioning & ventilation. Thus, the room was extremely hot at night in away that I couldn't even sleep.
Disliked: EXTREMELY HOT inside the room since there is no air conditioning! The wall inside the room was also dirty and had yellow stint. One of the cabinets was fallen and needs me to put back on (minor repair). Since the shower and bathroom were shared, there were stints from other tenants. In addition, since there is no air condition and ventilation inside the room, I needed to open the window at night to reduce the temperature inside the room; but can't believe other tenants smoke outside thus their 2nd hand smoke went into my room as well when I open the window.
