Semi hood, room decent, semi...

Liked: Room and hotel itself was actually decent. There was hot water, it didnt smell, things looked cleaned. The knobs did fall off the faucet and shower, but they went on again easily lol. TV worked. There was free parking at back of building in a little lot, which was a big reason I chose it, and my car did not get messed with.
Disliked: Well, as most have noted, it is in the hood. There is all sorts of crazy, noisy characters and things going down at night. I used earplugs. I am a solo man who's been in some dodgy situations, so I was ok, but I personally would not take a family. There was a Mom and son next door though. If you get in before late night, you should be fine.I gave it a 5 mostly due to the price. It is what it is, but imo a bit overpriced.

Convenient location and good value,...

Liked: We enjoyed the price and the location considering how close it was to many areas of Brooklyn, the subway, and numerous restaurants and parks.
Disliked: The facilities were clean, but a little worse for wear. The handle on our shower fell off (still worked, just had to be gentle with it), the TV reception was very fuzzy and basic cable only (not a major issue honestly, we weren't in the room except at night to unwind.) The area around the hotel is a little sketchy if you have young children, several pan handlers and some empty lots and buildings, but really wasn't that bad. The worst part was the 'private parking' - the lot is behind the building, only holds about 6 cars and is VERY tight. If just one person parks a little strange ... you might get stranded back there. Plus, it seems some people like to park in the drive lane to get back there too, which also has a dumpster ... we had to get assistance in leaving because the owner swore 'he measured it' we would fit - it literally was a game of inches on either side of our SUV squeezing between cars, we had to have both of our sideview mirrors tucked in to squeeze by. Again - great value, nice staff - we would stay here again but now we know what to expect as well.
