Dan, Cobourg, visiting UBS Arena Sun, 29 October 2023

Having the closest room to the front lobby was not good. Heard people coming in and out all night. Doors kept slamming throughout night. There was loud music coming from the building next door until 4am. The king size bed was nice even though there was not a fitted sheet for the mattress and the comforter was very old. Washroom and specifically the shower was very nice. Air conditioner barely worked and no working phone to call front desk.

Liked: Shower and bathroom is great.
Disliked: No fitted sheet on the mattress; was uncomfortable and air conditioner did not work.

Bad

Disliked: The staff there is completely rude and completely unprofessional. They claim to be trained in order to deal with management issues, but claim that they do not have a manager they hang up on you. They're very very disrespectful. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Wouldn't stay there again shouldn't...

Liked: The shower head. Good size TV
Disliked: I guess we could start with the ad on your service. Shows the outside of the building and the room looking much better and a lot different than it really is. The room walls had nasty looking stuff on them. The room, the bathroom, along with a bucket for ice was incredibly dirty. Glad they had clean sheets because the comforter was disgusting. The area where I parked my car. Within a few hours I came out and there was trash all around my car like somebody took a big bag of garbage and dumped it out. Also, when you put the key in the room door you were lucky if you were able to open the door due to a faulty handle. On the inside of the door there was a broken extra lock in order to secure yourself in the room. Like not just broken. Still there on the wall snapped in half broken. Incredibly old AC that just barely kept the room cold. One last thing would be that the toilet was incredibly wobbly. They sent someone down to fix it but within the next use It was wobbly again.

Horrible

Liked: Honestly, that we were close to event venue.
Disliked: It was horrible experience this is a motel not a Hotel how it is promoted on your site. When we checked in rooms were not ready and it was almost 6pm. There was no security which did not make me feel safe. There was a couple screaming at each other about money and that she was leaving and he wanted his money back. You can only imagine the kind of business is being ran here. People were in and out of property through the night. Slamming doors and talking loud. We even had someone try and open our door. When I called reception she told me that reservations for up to three hours was acceptable at this hotel which for me makes it more of a motel. When I told the front desk how disappointed and uncomfortable I felt she had no compassion and only said that everyone is entitled to have their opinion. The rooms were not as clean. The bathroom shower glass and floor looked dirty and bathroom fan was not working just making a really loud noise. There was also a small leak in bathroom ceiling. I honestly stayed the night since we got back to room after 2am after event we attended. We traveled from Pennsylvania and were too tired to drive home at that time. I would not come here or recommend it. I wish I could get my money back as this was not what I was expecting especially after spending over $400 not worth it.
