Liked: I thought the parking fee of $42.00 for just 1 night was way too much.

Stayed at the Cartier for...

Liked: Excellent location downtown Ottawa, walking distance to restaurants and Parliament. Parking on site. Room was perfect. Restaurant on site. Very friendly staff.
Disliked: Parking was expensive. Larger vehicles must park outside.

Good bang for your buck...

Liked: Location is great, same goes for staff. Facilities are great (pool, gym, kids room, etc.)
Disliked: Found the extra for parking expensive. Rooms are quite of an old design, though clean. Kitchen equipment is limited (no scrub for dish washing nor dishwasher tab) but sufficient.

Good for families if you...

Liked: Good location. Walkable to everywhere you might need.
Disliked: Asked for towels for day 2… asked again in evening (8pm) … said they delivered… brought tea towel, 2 facecloths and dish cloth. Man came to door … said tell me what you want… we said body bath towels… and face cloths. He was annoyed. We were told to put dirty towels in hall on floor… so weird. We did not ask for housekeeping… just towels. Room was adequate… enough room… very stuffy… but walkable to everywhere. Parking is over 40 bucks a day with taxes!
