Stay somewhere else.

Liked: Centrally located and short walk down to ocean avenue. Good news-they had some clean towels,
Disliked: Moldy room, leaky roof—there was water on the floor in the morning, I was coughing all night from the mold, run down facility with poor and shoddy , construction, drain caps missing, gross old toilet seats, old gross bathroom facilities, front door doesn’t close properly, dangerous parking lot—you can easily trip and fall by. Facilities are old dirty. It’s criminal to charge over $200 a night for a place like this, better off going to a motel in Monterey. After 1 sleepless night, we asked to switch rooms since we paid in full (big mistake), they switched us to another cottage but more than half the hotel was empty. There is no excuse for subject your guests to such filthy rooms. Bed was way too soft. Hairdryers were useless. No exhaust fans in bathrooms. It really doesn’t take a designer or a rocket scientist to see all the flaws.

good value nice hotel in...

Liked: loved the queen suite! I had everything we wanted.
Disliked: Our only feeling is that it is a bit far from the village. walking there in daylight is fine but in the evening, not possible as there are dimly lit streets and no sidewalks.

Liked: Jay was very helpful in giving me directions and recommendations. It is a good walk down into the center of town and a hike back up., but is managed by driving partway and parking on a side street to lessen the walk back. The rooms are individual cabin with parking places right next to each. Very clean, comfortable, quiet and nice location with trees within the premises. My passport was left behind and Jay went above and beyond to send it on to me. I would stay there again.
