Liked: Excellent, mid-range hotel with heated pool, minimal breakfast in the heart of Carmel.
Disliked: breakfast

We totally recommend this hotel.

Liked: The room was very nice and clean. It had everything we needed for our 2 night stay.
Disliked: I really wish this hotel was pet friendly. We have stayed here a couple of other times but we would stay here every time if our dog could join us when we bring her.

Liked: We always choose Carmel Bay View Inn. We love the view and the peaceful location with the convenience of the market just steps away. The Inn offers breakfast every morning and coffee and tea all day in the office in addition to what's offered in the room. The staff always welcomes you by name when you come in just to grab a cup.

Disliked: The smell of mold and mildew coming out of the bathroom. Made it hard to sleep because the smell was strong.

Liked: Great location, convenient to Carmel Plaza. Located less than two blocks from Ocean Avenue, next to Bruno's Market.

The Carmel Bay View Inn...

Liked: The property is located a few blocks from Ocean Avenue, which is the Main Street that goes through Carmel. As a result it is quiet in the evenings and the view from some of the rooms is truly incredible. The room we had also had a fireplace, coffee maker and an adequate refrigerator. The king size bed was very comfortable, and we woke up well rested. Breakfast was included, and their coffee was surprisingly good. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we couldn’t have felt more at home.
Disliked: My wife and I genuinely have no complaints.
