Carlton Hotel

The Carlton was wonderful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if we were in town again. The rooms were beautiful, the jetted bath tub was fabulous and the bed was super cozy. Definitely going back!

Liked: Room size.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Roomy, clean, quiet, moderately well appointed, great decor, nice location, many nearby restaurants, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, etc.
Disliked: Minor: could have used wash cloth.

Liked: Location of hotel
Disliked: I realize it’s an old hotel but there is a lot of room for improvements . Holes in the sheets and elevator could use a fresh coat of paint

A great place to celebrate...

Liked: Loved the quality of the furnishings. The bathroom was beautiful. The room spacious with good light. It is very well maintained and the staff were very responsive to our needs.
Disliked: We loved everything about it.

Over all comfortable stay.

Liked: Great location and staff.Even though the hotel and main street are under renovations, there are plenty of restaurants and bar wthin walking distance from the hotel. We parked our car and didn't use it all weekend.
Disliked: Under renovation. The air conditioner in the room didn't work. Staff said sorry part of the rooms still need work but they are working on the lobby right now.No mention on the website did it mention that they are renovating the hotel. No restaurant or bar available at the hotel.No mention on the website the the main street in front of hotel being renovated.

Liked: The location is perfect and the hotel seemed better and more cleanly this last time we stayed.
Disliked: I believe the staff could be more friendly and when you give towels to your guests (even hand towels) they should not look raggedy

We'll go back but request...

Liked: First time we stayed here was about a month ago. We returned as it was so great. Loved the staff and holiday decorations and the character. Super location to walk to 'about anywhere in Atascadero Central Business District.
Disliked: This time, there were some noted repairs: worn carpet meeting the tiled bathroom flooring was a negative impression and unattractive.
