Carlton Hotel

The Carlton was wonderful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if we were in town again. The rooms were beautiful, the jetted bath tub was fabulous and the bed was super cozy. Definitely going back!

Liked: The front desk guy was great. When we went to check out, there was no one to be found.The first room was beautiful, but the second room they gave us, not so much.
Disliked: The first room we were in the TV did not work, so they put us on the 3rd floor where all the remodel was taking place. The room was huge, but the floor was really dirty. My white socks were pretty bad when I went to go put them on. Just smelled really musty. probably from all the dust from the remodel. Was not really impressed for our first stay. The parking was a little inconvenient because of the location. But we survived.

I want a refund after...

Disliked: The hotel has issues with its pipping and has back-flow issues. The tub in the room was not useable. I reported the issue to the front desk, but was told that they did not have any one to fix the issue. I asked to get a different room but told they were sold out. I was told I would be getting a refund for my stay and would be hearing from management. It’s been almost two months have still not gotten a refund or spoken to management after multiple attempts by email and phone. The front desk has been aware of this issue and continues to ignore me.

Liked: This is an exceptional hotel, quite old fashioned but in a wonderful, luxery way. You have every modern comfort but in an individual setting seldom to be seen. We simply loved it. Hopefully, the hotel won't change too much with a new proprietor.

Liked: Roomy, clean, quiet, moderately well appointed, great decor, nice location, many nearby restaurants, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, etc.
Disliked: Minor: could have used wash cloth.

Disliked: I realize it’s an old hotel but there is a lot of room for improvements . Holes in the sheets and elevator could use a fresh coat of paint
