Nice Place in a Nice...
Liked: Old charming hotel in a really nice and safe neighborhood full of shops and restaurants. Decent value too. About 30 min L ride from the city.
Disliked: Still a bit far from the loop/river north but it’s right on the train.

Exceptional
Liked: Excellent location. Poor Phil’s restaurant outstanding. They have over 100 beers to choose from, I was like a kid in a candy shop.
Disliked: They have all bases covered.

Slightly above Average- but only...
Liked: Location was perfect. Room was nice.
Disliked: There were stairs to get to the elevator and having to move my own luggage up and down the stairs was difficult. The carpeting also presented a luggage challenge since it was thick and it required a lot of strength to roll the luggage. Also the parking was not the best, it was unprotected and fortunately my car which had a lot of my items was not broken into.

Fine one-night stand in Oak...
Liked: Pleasant room and bath. Tasteful decor. Microwave, fridge, sink. Comfortable temp. Convenient parking.
Disliked: Slightly quirky. Can’t enter through front door, must go round corner to enter through bar. Hotel a bit old.

I was there for one...
Liked: Oak Park is a vibrant community outside of Chicago and is a wonderful setting full of history and culture (both Frank Lloyd Wright and Ernest Hemingway called it home!) and fabulous shops and restaurants. LOVE Oak Park!!! And the hotel was up to the standards of this wonderful community with not one but two restaurants on the premises.
Disliked: Nothing.
